By sharing recipes that have been passed on through generations and represent the Northern Ontario culture, the goal of the cookbook is to showcase and celebrate the rich history of our region and the people behind the recipes.
As we focus on featuring local products into these recipes, we wish to highlight the hard work of the farming community and making connections along the supply chain from farm to fork.
Key ingredients may include some of the following: GARLIC, HONEY, MAPLE SYRUP, CORN, ZUCCHINI, PUMPKIN, POTATO, CABBAGE, SOYA, BEANS, CANOLA, WILD MEATS (PARTRIDGE, MOOSE, DEER, RABBIT, WILD TURKEY), FISH, DUCKS. GOOSE, PORK, CHICKEN, BERRIES, ETC.
