All municipal boat launches are now open for practical purposes and access.

The Minnehaha Bay Marina and gas station will remain closed until the Stay-at-Home Order is lifted. The boat launch is available for use at no cost and with no assistance from staff. Parking is limited at this location and overnight parking is not permitted.

The Sturgeon River House Museum boat launch is open for use at no cost. Boaters are reminded that vehicles and trailers must be parked in the Museum lot across the street and are not permitted to park along the boat launch path. Vehicles parked along the launch will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Cache Bay, Field, Lake Chebogan and Lavigne Boat Launches are open as well.

Make this a safe and healthy long-weekend. Please be mindful that gathering restrictions remain in effect on waterways. We urge boaters to be cautious and follow public health measures to ensure physical distancing while launching and navigating.

Boat launch operations during the current Covid-19 restrictions are limited to:

  • repairing or servicing boats/watercraft
  • placing boats in the water to be secured
  • allowing residents to access their residence or property
  • supporting government operations/services, or transportation of items by commercial barges
