Day 1 – Future in Safe Hands Festival (FISH Fest)

$30The Future in Safe Hands Festival (FISH Fest) is a new multi-arts festival produced in Sturgeon Falls, ON by Studio Project Arts Collective. The three-day festival will include arts installations, performance art, poetry/spoken word, music, community-engaged arts, workshops, seminars, a medieval combat tournament, and a professional wrestling show. Some workshops require registration. Full details are available on Studio Project’s website. All are welcome.
Passes are $30 for the weekend and include admission to all festival events. Tickets are also available for certain events for individuals that do not wish to purchase a festival pass. Passes and tickets may be purchased at Quick Pick Variety (37 John St, Sturgeon Falls, ON) or at the door during the festival. Purchases made at the door are cash only.

Day 1 Festival Schedule
12:00 pm Festival opening remarks. Continuity: Community Activation opens with an introduction to audience participation by Clayton Windatt followed by jam sessions with Davi Aquino and Jacob Dayfox.
1:00 pm “Radicle Yew” art installation opens with an artist talk by Kelsey Ruhl.
2:00 pm Performance art showcase begins with Alex Maeve Campbell performing “The Last Time” followed by performances by the JuJe Collective and Cesar Forero.
4:00 pm “New Neighbors,” a series of monologues and spoken word performances with participating artists Morgan Bedard, Jennifer Carroll, Stephanie Kast, Matt Lishman, Kelsey Ruhl & Kaitlyn Stewart.
