Tree Lighting Ceremony (Corner of John/King in Sturgeon Falls)

November 25 @ 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

The Municipality of West Nipissing is proud to announce its Tree Lighting Ceremony in the heart of downtown Sturgeon Falls! This event will be the official kick-off to the “Rockin’ Around West Nipissing” series of events organized for the 2022 holiday season.

Bring the family to the corner of John and King St., Sturgeon Falls, for some of the grandest of holiday feelings this season. Enjoy candy treats distributed by elves, photo opportunities with our holiday mascot, and of course, a countdown to the lighting of the Community Living’s Drop In Centre’s holiday tree.  Since the West Nipissing Fire Service’s radiothon is also taking place on this same day, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m, this event will be a great continuation to celebrate the season of giving. Speakers will include Mayor Thorne Rochon, Fire Chief Frank Loeffen, and Community Living West Nipissing’s Executive Director, Sylvie Belanger.

Carolers will be singing, elves will be cheering, and lights will be dazzling. It is sure to be a magical experience that you won’t want to miss.

WHEN: Friday, November 25th, 2022, 7:00 – 7:30 p.m.

WHERE: Community Living’s Drop In Centre (Corner of King St. and John St.)

154 King Street. Sturgeon Falls, ON, P2B 1R3

After the lighting of the tree, participants will be encouraged to walk down King St. to view the business storefront decorations and experience the beautifully illuminated fountain area.

This is an outdoor event. Please dress accordingly.
