The Municipality of West Nipissing has selected Elizabeth Henning, P.Eng. as the new Director of Infrastructure Services, effective November 7, 2023. The position was vacant for several years and was being managed by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in the interim. 

As Director of Infrastructure Services, Henning will report to the CAO on all infrastructure assets and capital. She will provide direct support to Public Works, Waste and Recycling, as well as Water and Wastewater operations. Under Elizabeth’s leadership, these teams will continue to collaborate and to align municipal service delivery with Council’s long-term goals to enhance quality of life in West Nipissing. 

Henning has been with the Municipality for nearly two years as Project Supervisor in the Public Works department. She enters this role with relevant and applied knowledge, including 11 years of experience in project management at the Ministry of Transportation (MTO), where she was a Senior Project Engineer involved in the design phases of roads and highway construction throughout Northeastern Ontario. Her prior experience in the private sector will also serve as an asset. She holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Ottawa.
