Stay-at-Home Order Extended for our district, Toronto and Peel Public Health Regions until March 8

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit (Heath Unit) has lifted the closures of outdoor skating rinks, skating trails, tobogganing hills, Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) snowmobile trails and snowmobile trails on Crown Land in the district effective Monday, February 22, 2021. The outdoor amenities were closed in January 2021, after numerous complaints about individuals and groups not following public health measures.

Municipal outdoor rinks are officially open in West Nipissing. Enjoy, keep your distance and be safe. Current ice conditions are not the greatest; however, our rink attendants will be removing snow, and will be building ice when conditions cool down. Please stay off the ice when attendants are working on the rink.

COVID-19 Safety Regulations

A maximum of 15 people are permitted on the ice at a time. As per provincial regulations, team sports are not permitted. Masks are mandatory within a 15 metre (50ft) distance of the edge of the surface (i.e. while putting on your skates on the bench). While masks are not mandatory while skating, they are highly recommended. Skaters who are not from the same household must keep at least two metres apart on and off the ice.

Hours of Operation

10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (as long as attendants are not working on the rink)
