Curbside Waste and Recycling Collection
The curbside waste and recycling collection scheduled for Tuesday, July 1, has been moved up to Monday, June 30.
All other routes will take place on their regular scheduled days, but recycling collection will be provided by GFL Environmental starting on Wednesday, July 2.
Important bin/cart information:
- If your recycling is scheduled for Monday, June 30, please continue to use your current recycling bins.
- If your recycling is scheduled for July 2nd or later, please begin using your new rolling cart.
Canada Day Facility Closures
The following municipal facilities will be CLOSED on Canada Day (Tuesday, July 1st).
- Municipal Office
- Landfills: Sturgeon Falls, Verner and Lavigne
- West Nipissing Community & Recreation Centre
Regular hours will resume on Wednesday, July 2nd.
Canada Day Activites
Here’s what’s happening on Tuesday, July 1, 2025:
9 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Learn How to Pickleball (in partnership with the West Nipissing Pickleball Association)
Starting at 7 p.m. -Sunset Social at the Sturgeon Falls tennis court and beach.
Around 9:30 p.m. Fireworks Display by your local firefighters (weather dependant).
