You’re invited to an engaging evening of discussion and information hosted by the Wishart Municipal Group. This interactive session is open to anyone interested in learning more about local government, particularly those considering serving on Municipal Council.

WHERE: West Nipissing Municipal Council Chambers (225 Holditch Street, Sturgeon Falls)
Topics will include:
- The role of Municipal Council as a level of government
- The responsibilities of Municipal Councillors, the Mayor, and Administration
- Strategic planning, leadership, and effective decision-making in a municipal context
- Open and closed meetings, consistency in decision-making, and municipal service levels
Presenter:
Paul Cassan is a Partner at Wishart Law FirmLLP who focuses his practice on Municipal Law, Labour and Employment, and Local Government issues. Over five years ago, Paul started the Wishart Municipal Group to reach out to communities with unmet legal needs. Under his direction, WMG today serves a significant portion of municipalities in the Province. With a background in sociology, his advocacy skills, and his lateral thinking, hebrings a unique perspective to every community he helps.
