Environment Canada has issued a Yellow Level Winter Storm Warning, with periods of ice pellets or freezing rain changing to periods of light and heavy snow throughout the day on Monday, December 29, 2025.
Residents are asked to monitor weather conditions closely, drive with caution, and adjust travel plans accordingly.
Please keep in mind:
- Road maintenance is carried out according to road type. Crews are actively monitoring all areas and responding to road conditions as required to maintain public safety. In weather events involving freezing rain, allowing a layer of snow to accumulate can help improve traction and reduce extremely slippery surfaces.
- All areas will be plowed at 4 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
- Residents are asked not to park vehicles on municipal roadways so snowplows and maintenance equipment can operate safely and efficiently.
- If garbage and recycling bins are set out on Monday evening, please ensure they do not obstruct snow clearing equipment.
