Canada Day 2026 in West Nipissing

Celebrate Canada Day close to home! Join us on Wednesday, July 1 for some FREE family-friendly activities.

Daytime Fun

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Marcel and Jane Labbé Arena and Goulard Park

*Be sure to wear appropriate footwear and bring a refillable water bottle.*

Step inside to enjoy live entertainment, face painting, balloon art, laser tag (6+ years), and a variety of self-guided activities for children of all ages.

Then head outdoors as we celebrate Canada’s role as a co-host of the FIFA World Cup with soccer-themed fun, including skills challenges, obstacle courses, and interactive activities (registration required – details coming soon). Young artists can also design and colour their own paper soccer jersey to be displayed in the crafts tent throughout the event. Soccer fans won’t want to miss the video game truck, where they can test their skills on the virtual pitch.

Evening Fireworks

At sundown, around 9:30 p.m.
Sturgeon Falls Beach, weather permitting

Please note that parking near the beach may be challenging due to ongoing road rehabilitation work in the area.
