In response to resident feedback, Municipal Council made the decision at its meeting on February 3, 2026, to continue its service agreement with the Household Hazardous Waste Depot in North Bay. As a result, the planned Household Hazardous Waste Day in West Nipissing will not take place, and services will remain unchanged.
Residents will continue to have access to the Household Hazardous Waste Depot in North Bay with no drop-off fees applied. The site accepts items such as leftover paint, batteries, motor oil, chemicals, and other hazardous materials, and is open Wednesday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
