Residents of West Nipissing are invited to participate in the annual Community Cleanup taking place on Wednesday April 22, 2026. Participants can choose any residential neighbourhood, roadway or park and help by cleaning up trash, planting a flower bed, and giving it a bit of attention.The Municipality is proud of the local volunteers and businesses who support green initiatives during Earth Week and throughout the year!
As of April 15, free gloves and trash bags will be available for participants at the following locations:
- West Nipissing Recreation Centre
- Lavigne Community Centre
- Au Coin, Verner
- River View Market, Field
- Kwik Way, River Valley
Waste bags from this event can be dropped off at the following locations on April 22 or the morning of April 23:
- West Nipissing Recreation Centre
- Lavigne Community Centre
- Verner Arena
- Field Outdoor Rink
- Kwik Way, River Valley
Guidelines: Bags must not exceed the 40 lb weight limit. Drop-off locations are strictly for litter collected during this clean-up event. Residents are asked to only include waste materials from this initiative – no bulk items.
