Starting on July 8, 2025, more households will have waste collection service in parts of Field, Kipling and River Valley. The expansion will include approximately 550 properties. Curbside collection in these areas will take place weekly, on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Affected residents will receive a letter in the mail with their collection details.
Residents with curbside collection service are asked to respect the following:
- Weekly limit: 4 garbage bags per house.
- Garbage containers should not weigh more than 40lbs (18 kg).
- Place your containers neatly at the curb by 7 a.m.
- Avoid loose garbage items; containers with lids will help prevent attracting wildlife.
- Do not put recyclable materials in the garbage; continue to use recycling depots for blue box items.
Recyclable materials should not be disposed of in garbage containers or in local landfills. Proper diversion of recyclables remains essential to our environmental responsibilities and waste reduction efforts.
