Fall 2026 Watermain Flushing

The Water and Wastewater Department will be completing seasonal testing of fire hydrants and flushing watermains on Thursday, September 24 and Friday, September 25, 2026. Hydrants are opened and allowed to flow in a controlled manner in one direction, cleaning out the sediment inside the pipes.

Signage will be posted in affected areas.

The work may cause some minimal discolouration and a temporary loss of water pressure. If you notice discoloured water in your water service line, run a cold water tap for approximately 15 minutes, until the water runs clear.
