Residents and businesses are advised that a film production will be taking place in and around King Street and Queen Street in downtown Sturgeon Falls from Thursday, September 3 through Sunday, September 6, 2026.
The following schedule and traffic impacts are anticipated:
Thursday, September 3
- Production equipment trucks are expected to arrive at approximately 10:00 p.m.
- Most equipment and vehicle staging will take place on the privately owned King Street lot between Bombshell and the Tribune.
Friday, September 4
- Preparation will begin at approximately 7:00 a.m.
- Filming is scheduled from approximately 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Saturday.
- Filming will include a brief exterior scene near the Flower Shoppe, interior filming at Pharmasave Aubin, and exterior nighttime filming in the King Street and Queen Street area.
- Intermittent traffic interruptions are anticipated between approximately 8:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.
Saturday, September 5
- Filming is scheduled from approximately 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Sunday in and around King Street and Queen Street, including sidewalks and participating storefronts.
- Beginning at approximately 7:00 p.m., proposed road closures will be in place on:
- King Street between William Street and Front Street
- Queen Street between Holditch Street and Main Street
- Local access for residents will be maintained, although brief delays may occur while cameras are rolling.
- Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times.
- Production wrap activities will continue throughout the day on Sunday, September 6.
Parking and Traffic
Parking will be restricted along portions of King Street and Queen Street as required to accommodate filming, picture vehicles and equipment.
The municipal parking lot at the intersection of King Street and Queen Street will be kept mostly empty during the filming period due to its proximity to the filming area.
Overnight Filming
Saturday night’s filming will include lighting equipment, picture vehicles, theatrical smoke and a controlled propane flame effect as part of a staged vehicle accident scene at King Street and Queen Street.
Some overnight production noise should be anticipated, including generators, equipment, crew activity, dialogue, vehicle movement and general filming activity. No major noise disruptions are anticipated.
