The Municipality of West Nipissing is in the process of procuring the property at 35 Front Street in Sturgeon Falls. The acquisition was initiated by the property owners, who approached the Municipality with an offer to sell. The closing date for the transaction is set for September 11, 2024. 

The property, located between the Municipal Office (Jean-Jacques Blais building) and the Champlain Bridge, will be instrumental for various development projects including the land use development initiatives. It will also serve as a useful worksite during the Champlain Bridge rehabilitation, once plans and funding model are defined for the project.
