With winter weather underway, the Municipality of West Nipissing is reminding residents to practice safe and responsible snow removal. To ensure public safety and maintain clear roadways, snow from private driveways or properties must not be pushed onto or across municipal roads, onto sidewalks, or in any way that obstructs visibility for motorists.
These actions are prohibited under Municipal By-Law 2006/63 and the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, as they create hazardous conditions for drivers, pedestrians, and emergency vehicles. Individuals found violating these regulations could face fines of $100.
