In observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, please take note of the following service changes and facility closures.
Curbside Waste Collection
There will be no garbage collection on Tuesday, September 30. Residents who normally have their waste collected on Tuesdays will have their collection moved to Monday, September 29 for that week only.
Note: blue box recycling collection, provided by GFL Environmental, will not be affected by this change and will be collected as per the regular schedule.
Facility Closures
The following facilities will be closed on Tuesday, September 30:
- Municipal Office
- West Nipissing Community and Recreation Centre
- Landfills: Sturgeon Falls, Verner and Lavigne
Facilities and services will resume normal operations on Wednesday, October 1.
