All Landfills accepts leaf and yard waste at no cost during regular hours of operation.

Acceptable Yard Waste

• Leaves
• Branches
• Shrubs
• Garden waste
• Grass clippings

Remember

• Yard waste should not be contained in plastic bags.
• Only use biodegradable yard waste bags, garbage cans, or place loosely.
• No stumps or logs.
• Residents are encouraged to leave grass clippings their lawn.
• Leaf and yard waste must not be mixed with any other garbage.
• Leaf and yard waste should not be disposed of with regular household waste (at the curb or in the landfill).

Curbside Collection

The Sturgeon Falls curbside collection program includes leaf and yard waste pick-up in the Sturgeon Falls area. West Nipissing Environmental Services offers this service. It is not currently available for residents in other areas who are served by a different contractors.

Please note that branches should be bundled at the curb, and no longer than 3 feet.
