The Municipality of West Nipissing announces that, following its initial video submission to HGTV’s upcoming Home Town Takeover Canada series in early November, the production team wants to see more form West Nipissing — more pride, enthusiasm, and local spirit. The series, which focuses on revitalizing and showcasing small communities across the country, invites municipalities to demonstrate their character, spirit, and potential for community renewal.
In response, the Municipality is calling on residents and local groups to help showcase West Nipissing!
We are seeking short energetic video clips (5 to 10 seconds) from:
- Sports teams
- Schools and student groups
- Local businesses
- Community groups and organizations
- Anyone who is proud to represent West Nipissing!
Featuring participants saying one of the following phrases out loud:
- “Hometown Takeover — Come to West Nipissing.”
- “Bring Hometown Takeover to West Nipissing.”
- “West Nipissing is ready for a Hometown Takeover.”
If filming on a mobile device, please record in horizontal (landscape) orientation.
We encourage participants to be creative and energetic. Gather your class, team, coworkers, group, family, or anyone eager to demonstrate pride in our community.
