The Municipality of West Nipissing is proud to launch its new Volunteer Recognition Program, celebrating individuals and community groups whose time, dedication, and generosity make a meaningful difference throughout the municipality.
From coaching youth sports and organizing local events to fundraising and helping neighbours in need, volunteers play a vital role in strengthening community life. This program was created to recognize these everyday contributions and highlight individuals who consistently make a positive impact, often behind the scenes.
Members of the community are invited to nominate individual volunteers or local groups that go above and beyond in their service to West Nipissing. Selected nominees will be recognized at a special recognition event on June 25, 2026. Further details will be shared with selected participants.
In addition to the annual recognition event, volunteers will also be highlighted throughout the year through the Municipality’s Volunteer Spotlight series on the municipal website and social media channels.
Nominations will be accepted until 12 p.m. on June 1, 2026. Forms are available online at westnipissing.ca/2026-volunteer-recognition,as well as in person at the Municipal Office, Recreation Centre and all library branches.

Future editions of the Volunteer Recognition Program will align with National Volunteer Week each April, further celebrating the spirit of volunteerism in West Nipissing and encouraging continued community involvement.
