Let’s bring the festivities to the River House this year! Canada Day activities will take place at the Sturgeon River House Museum from noon to 4 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2024. Alouette Bus lines will provide bus service from the Recreation Centre (219 O’Hara Street) to the museum throughout the day. Children under the age of 12 should be accompanied by an adult if using public transportation. Admission and transportation are free for everyone. Twiggs Coffee Roasters, Old McDonald’s Family Farm and Tickled Teals Entertainment will be on-site to add to the array of games, prizes, food, and entertainment.
The fireworks display will take place at sundown, around 9:30 p.m. and will be visible from the Sturgeon Falls Beach (Main and Ethel Street). The volunteer group Friends of the Sturgeon Falls Beach will be there with a canteen. As always, the fireworks display is dependent on weather and fire regulations.
