Notice is hereby given to the Municipal Electors of the Municipality of West Nipissing that nominations in the prescribed form for the offices listed below may be filed with the undersigned, or their designate, in the Clerk’s Office at 101-225 Holditch Street, Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, during regular business hours (8:30AM – 4:30PM, between May 1, 2026 and August 21, 2026 (Nomination Day) between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS
No person shall be nominated for an office unless, at the time of nomination, the person is qualified under the Municipal Elections Act, 1996.
A nomination must be:
- Made in the prescribed form;
- Accompanied by the prescribed nomination filing fee:
- $200.00 for Head of Council
- $100.00 for all other offices
- Endorsed by at least 25 eligible electors (for Mayor and Municipal Councillors only);
- Filed in person or by an agent (as permitted by legislation).

FURTHER INFORMATION
In the event there are an insufficient number of certified candidates to fill all positions available, nominations will be reopened for the vacant positions only on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, between the hours of 9 am and 2 pm and such additional nominations, if required, may be filed in the office of the Clerk.
