Please be advised that the Ministry of Transportation will be undertaking highway improvements on Highway 64 (north) and other highways in the Field area throughout the spring and summer 2026. The work will include grading, drainage improvements, granular placement, paving, electrical work, and culvert replacement.
To complete the project, lane closures will be required at various locations within the construction limits. These closures will generally occur from sunrise to sunset, Monday through Friday. Most closures will affect only one lane at a time.
Construction is scheduled to begin in May 2026, starting 1.7 km north of Highway 17 and continuing north for 20.8 km to 1.0 km south of Highway 539, as well as along 1.2 km of Highway 575, west of Highway 64. The work is expected to be completed in July 2027.
Residents are asked to respect all road signage and construction equipment and to be mindful of the safety of workers.
