More than a museum

The Sturgeon River House Museum, located on the west bank of the Sturgeon River, promotes and preserves the cultural and natural heritage of the Municipality of West Nipissing. The Museum presents the fur trade era from 1623 to 1879, and pioneer life in West Nipissing between 1878 and 1939, along with cultural contributions among groups in the region.

Take home a locally made or regionally-themed souvenir to mark your memories at the Museum’s gift shop.

Stop by for a concert, play, or one of the many fun-filled events at the Museum!

Theodore Fouriezos Wetlands Park
