Another step forward! West Nipissing has recently adopted a strategy to address housing needs across the municipality over the next ten years. With the analysis of current housing data, extensive research on local needs and community engagement, a vision for housing was identified as “A community where all residents have a place to call home that is suited to their needs, regardless of income, household size, age, or ability.”
The plan focuses on five key objectives:
– Promote & Protect Rental Housing
– Diversify the Housing Supply
– Encourage the correct type of housing
– Develop Partnerships and Coordinate Advocacy
– Monitor Implementation & Report on progress.
