In observance of Remembrance Day, the following facilities will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2026:
the Municipal Office, the Community and Recreation Centre, and the Sturgeon Falls Landfill.
Change to curbside waste collection
Curbside waste collection scheduled for Wednesday, November 11, has been moved up to Monday, November 9.
* This change does not affect waste collection for Verner residents since collection is conducted by an independent contractor.
* This change does not affect recycling collection by GFL Environmental. Tuesday recycling routes will be collected as usual.
We join our community in expressing our heartfelt appreciation to all veterans and active service members. Their courage and sacrifice continue to inspire us as we pause to remember and reflect on Remembrance Day.
